Oyogist has learned that some French scientists have detected another Covid variant in France.
The mutant strain has 46 mutations, which reportedly makes it more vaccine-resistant and infectious than the original virus.
12 cases have already been spotted so far near Marseille, with the first linked to travel to the African country, Cameroon.
The strain which was discovered by scientists at the IHU Mediterranee Infection centre on 10th December is yet to spread rapidly since.
