Oyogist has learned that Nigeria has recorded a total of 422 new Covid-19 cases and five deaths in 13 states, recent update by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) shows.
This brought the total confirmed cases to 178,508 while fatalities rose to 2,192, and recoveries at 165,992.
Lagos, the epicentre of the pandemic recorded, 190 cases, followed by Rivers State with 86 cases while Ogun State followed closely with 85 new cases.
Oyo State recorded 22 cases, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) reported 20 cases and Kwara State recorded seven cases. States with the least cases are: Edo (5), Abia (4) and Bayelsa (3)
