They have also called for a reduction in the salaries of senators and more accountability on the part of the government. It seems as though the agitation have gone from just Ending SARS to calling for a better government. Some people said that the youths have finally woken up from sleep.
Reacting to this ENDSARS movement indirectly, the Nigerian Army issued a statement to people and “elements” who may want to disrupt the peace of the Country or use the protest for their own political gains, that they, the Nigerian Army are solidly behind the president and would deal with anyone who tries to Defy the peace of the country decisively.
Reacting to this, NIGERIANS feel that the statement was directed to the End SARS protesters indirectly and have assured the government that the protest would be peaceful.
