The Covid 19 pandemic has shut down normal life as we know it and made way for more use of technology for communication and business meetings.
OYOGist.com has learned that the video chat company, Zoom has seen an increase in its usage by the public for meetings, but it is now being sued by an American church, Saint Paulus Lutheran Church, after pornographic videos and child abuse were allegedly posted in the church’s virtual bible study meeting by a hacker.

According to the church, the hacker took over the devices of the users and posted the disturbing videos. They said that they contacted Zoom for help, but nothing was done by the company. The eight users, who were mostly pensioners, lost control of their devices to the hacker.
The hacker attacked the systems again after the users ended the video session and started afresh. According to the suit filed by the church, the video posted by the hacker displayed adults having sex with other adults, and also adults having sex with infants. Zoom has refused to comment on the incident, rather pointing to the app’s new security features.
