According to report reaching oyogist.com, Lagos state government has released new Covid-19 guidelines as restrictions are being eased across the state.
Recall that Lagos state has been the epicenter of the virus in Nigeria.
Governor Sanwo-olu via his verified twitter handle disclosed the new guidelines:
He said: “To boost economic activities within the events and hospitality sector, I have given approval for further ease of restrictions. Social functions can now go on in Lagos subject to strict adherence to all COVID 19 safety protocols as directed by LSSC.”
“Event centres must not exceed 50% of their total capacity and not exceed 500 people irrespective of their occupancy limit. They must also ensure deep cleaning before and after every event whilst maintaining physical distancing with 6 guests on a table meant for 10 people.”
“The maximum duration for any event must not exceed 6 hours and the compulsory use of face mask is still in force. We will continue to balance public safety with economic interest as we work together to overcome the pandemic and ensure a COVID-19 free Lagos.”
