According to reports reaching Oyogist.com, U.S. President Donald Trump has refused to sign the $892-billion coronavirus relief bill which would offer cash incentives for citizens in America, as he demanded for a possible amendment of the bill.

Failure to override a possible Trump veto of the legislation could result in a partial government shutdown.

“The bill they are now planning to send back to my desk is much different than anticipated, it really is a disgrace.” Trump said in a video posted on Twitter.

President Trump demanded for an increase in the amount of the stimulus checks to $2,000 for individuals or $4,000 for couples compared to the earlier bill of $600 for individuals.

“I’m also asking Congress to immediately get rid of the wasteful and unnecessary items from this legislation, and to send me a suitable bill, or else the next administration will have to deliver a COVID relief package. And maybe that administration will be me,”Trump said.
