OYOGist.com has learned that a Nigerian Senator, Ali Ndumeh from Borno State has reportedly described how Boko Haram members who had been expelled from Operation Safe Corridor were returning to continue helping their fellow Boko Haram members with tactical informations against the Nigerian Military.
Senator Ali Ndumeh, commenting on the Boko Haram attack on the military in Damboa, said the attack was led by repentant Boko Haram members.
The senator described how Boko Haram killed a senior military official, saying the soldier was killed as a result of intelligence provided by Boko Haram members to the terrorists about military movements.
“Any Boko Haram member who has laid down his arms or been arrested should be kept in prison as a prisoner of war. Once the Boko Haram war is over, the terrorists should be thoroughly investigated.”
The Senator also faulted the federal government for the attacks on the military saying it was a mistake on the part of the government about changing the mindset of Boko Haram.
