Reno Omokri Reacts To Shoprite NG Exit

OYOGist.com has learned that a Nigerian author and former presidential aid to Ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokori has reacted to the new development of the biggest African grocery retail company, Shoprite leaving the most populated country in Africa, Nigeria to focus on their other branches in different countries in Africa and other places.

Reno Omokori, during the afternoon hour of the day issued his say concerning the new move of the company in shifting the company to another interested investor as they make their move.

It was reported some hours ago that the south African owned company decided to end their services in Nigeria due to many expenditure without having a gain back.

Reno in reacting to the development on Monday said that Shoprite leaving the country will be a very good advantage to the Nigerian economy.

His revelation about the good impact of their decision to the Nigerian economy surprised his audience who know little or nothing about how foreign investors affects the country’s economy.

Reno also said that there are capable entrepreneurs in Nigeria that can offer what Shoprite is offering at all Peak.

“The exit of Shoprite from Nigeria is NOT a bad thing. There are capable Nigerian firms that can do what Shoprite is doing, without repatriating their profits back to SA.”

“Nigerians ought to realise that one major reason why the Naira is shedding value like an ice cream in the Sahara Desert, is because too many foreign firms, like Shoprite, MTN and DSTV, make money from Nigeria, and repatriate it to SA, thereby putting downward pressure on the Naira.” He said
