‘Nobody Should Tell Me What To Do With N78 Billion Federal Government Refund’ – Governor Wike

OYOGist.com has learned that the Governor of River State, Nyesom Wike, has reportedly said that nobody should counsel or guild him on how the N78 billion Federal Government refund would be spent or expended. This statement was made by Governor Wike when discussing with Leadership of Inter-Party Advisory Council of Nigeria (IPAC) at the Government house in Port Harcourt.

Governor Wike of River state who disclosed that part of the Federal Government refunded N78 billion will be used to build a Cancer Center in River State, wondered why his message of Appreciation to President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, was politicized.

Governor Wike who was suprised that his Appreciation message was politicized said, “People has politicized the fact that I wrote letter of appreciation to the President. Why would I not write the letter”.

Futherly, “Federal Government have paid my other colleagues in year 2018 which our own was not paid”, said Governor Wike.

He pressed on, “We’ve been praying and struggling so hard before we got an approval, then we should be thankful to Federal Government for approving the fund for us”.

Governor Wike said, although the money has not been released but appreciation need to be shown for the approval. He said if the money was decided to be paid to them today by the Federal Government, he would construct a Good Cancer Center for the state.

Governor Wike continued that, all those people that gave in an opinion on how to spend the money approved cannot decide for him. He said, he will decide on what to do with the money to make the entire State benefited from it.

He pressed on futher saying, those that are not satisfied with this, maybe when they are elected, should come and do their own.

Governor Wike in his final statement said, projects development has been executed in every Local Government of the state to improve people’s socio-economic life.
