However, new information reaching OYOGist.com reveals that the country’s first lady and the wife of President Pierre Nkurunziza, Denise Nkurunziza was flown to Nairobi 10 days ago after falling ill to coronavirus.
Now, reporters are speculating that her husband, the country’s President, may have been infected with the virus as well, which is what caused his death.
Prominent Ugandan journalist and author, Charles Onyango Obbo shared in a tweet that the revelation that the country’s first lady was flown abroad for COVID-19 treatment may have led to speculations that Pierre Nkurunziza died of the virus.
