He almost left last summer, but the arrival of Philippe Clement as manager made him stay one more year. Clement has now admitted he is likely to leave the Jan Breydel Stadium, with Arsenal looking like the expected destination, according to reports.

Dennis has represented Nigeria on under-15 and under-23 level. He made his debut for the senior team on 10 September 2019 in a 2–2 friendly draw to Ukraine, coming on as a 82nd-minute substitute for Samuel Chukwueze.

The Nigerian is also attracting interest from all over Europe, after netting nine goals this season, including a brace against Real Madrid at the Bernabeu in the Champions League.
