OkadaBan: Lagosians lament ban on motorcycles in Lagos

The ban placed on commercial motorcycles, popularly known as Okada, including riders with Gokada and Opay, has taken effect today, Saturday, February 1, 2020. Lagosians are now lamenting the harsh effects of the ban on them.

The government of Lagos state announced blanket ban on the activities on motorcycles within major Local Government Areas (LGAs) and Local Development Councils (LDCs) in the state on the 27th of January.

The ban is to take effect on the 1st of February, 2020.

Once the ban hit, people started feeling the effects immediately and it seems to be hitting most harshly.
