Iran and the United States are literally fanning the fire of a world war 3 as things stand between both nations now, at least that’s what Twitter users think.

How did this all happen? According to news reports, the US Diplomatic House in Baghdad was attacked by protesters in Iran, numbering up to 6000 who felt blighted by the killing of members of the militia in an airstrike carried out by America.

The militia forces around the building reportedly looked on as the protesters stormed the US embassy, destroyed American properties and injured many.

The President of America, President Donald Trump, irked by this blamed the Iranian government for the attack on the US embassy and threatened Iran that they “will pay a very big price” for the attack. Shortly after, an airstrike followed, killing a top Iranian General Qassim Suleimani in Baghdad.

General Qassim Suleimani is reportedly the 2nd in command in Iran, leading the country’s armed force.

According to a New York Times report, the US Pentagon said:

“General Suleimani was actively developing plans to attack American diplomats and service members in Iraq and throughout the region. General Suleimani and his Quds Force were responsible for the deaths of hundreds of American and coalition service members and the wounding of thousands more. This strike was aimed at deterring future Iranian attack plans. The United States will continue to take all necessary action to protect our people and our interests wherever they are around the world”

In the wake of the attacks, the Internet has gone up in a panic of World War 3, as people fear that Iran may strike back at America, potentially leading to a war between both nations, which could degenerate into a Third World War.
