The OYO state government has sealed six hotels, four commercial banks, three petroleum stations and seven other companies that fail to pay payment of state land use fees.
The state government indicates on Thursday, which is in line with the use of land charge revenue demand bills, its enforcement team sealed the affected outfit that fail to fulfill their financial obligations to the state after several reminders.
The traits that are affected are served by bills for more than 90 days along with the liability of land use charge.
According to the state government, most of the business clothing owes the state millions of Naira.
The Chairman, the Internal Revenue Board, John Adeleke, said this exercise was targeted to drive a business in the state to live with their responsibilities.
“The focus of the drive is not to close or approach any business besides providing a boost to the business to help the government in creating a better business premise for them to develop,” Adeleke said.
He urged business owners in the state to always fulfill their obligations by sending taxes, levies and bills to the government.
