HealthPlus, A company that offers free health screening services to Nigerians, is currently under seige by foreign investors, Alta Semper who intend to take over the Brand.
HealthPlus and Alta Semper had entered into a five-year partnership in 2018 to inject fresh capital to further grow the business. However, things went worse when Alta Semper withheld funds meant for the growth of the business and attempted to take over the Business.
Earlier in May 2020, a case was filed by The Health Plus CEO, Bukky George, with case number- FHC/L/CS/609/2020 – in which she has pending a motion for interlocutory Injunction seeking to restrain Alta Semper from removing her from office among other things.
No board resolution has been passed so far for the removal of Mrs Bukky George as Chairman neither did they hold a board of directors meeting to remove her, but the Alta Semper group still insists she must be removed.
