According to report reaching oyogist.com, Hon. Akin Alabi has condemned the ban of twitter by the federal government.
Recall that the federal government in a statement banned twitter activities across the country and has promised to prosecute anyone going against the directive.
Akin Alabi via his twitter handle @akinmeansBusiness condemned the directive and beckoned on the federal government to reverse the decision.
The tweet reads: “I am unhappy and uncomfortable about the current suspension of twitter’s operations in Nigeria. The suspension is a violation of rights & I implore the Federal Government to immediately reverse what is an affront to the principles of freedom of expression & democracy.”
“Twitter and other social media networks have moved beyond communication to become a marketplace for our teeming young population. It is important that we support our young people to remain creative and gainfully engaged.”
