Mali’s President Bah Ndaw alongside Prime Minister, Moctar Ouane, Reportedly resigned “before the mediator”, Baba Cisse, the special advisor to junta leader, Assimi Goita Said.
The transitional president and prime minister resigned during mediation efforts Wednesday after being arrested in a second military coup in nine months, a top junta aide and an international diplomat said.
The president and prime minister were tasked with the responsibility of heading the interim government with the declared aim of restoring full civilian rule within 18 months.
