Nigerian artist, Yemi has backlashed the central bank of Nigeria for putting in regulations that aren’t favorable to the Nigerian man, Oyogist.com reports.
Yemi Alade in a series of tweets on her official Twitter account slammed the apex bank, urging them to stop placing their focus on money laundering.
According to Yemi Alade, all the regulations introduced by the CBN is making the poor man get poorer.
Yemi Alade tweeted:
“CBN REALLY NEEDS TO CONSIDER THE ORDINARY MAN IN NIGERIA! All the new restrictions on Usd deposits is affecting alot of businesses.
“You don’t have enough USd to even give legimate business people for their imports ,why not find another solution.Poor man is getting POORER.
“Go to your local grocery store,whether na aboki shop or Supermarket and see that they CANNOT RESTOCK alot of products once they run out. WE don’t produce any of these finished products even toothpaste.Your focus is money launderers but you are In Turn worsing our economy Dear CbN”Can you please create a balance for us?
