Prominent Yoruba activist, Chief Sunday Igboho has declared that the Yoruba Nation is due and that South-Western states are seperating from the Nigeria entity, OYOGist.com has gathered.
In a widely publicized video that captured the moment a meeting held between some prominent Yoruba leaders including Chief Adeyemo Sunday Igboho, Emeritus Banji Akintoye among others, Sunday Igbo declared Yoruba Nation as a new country different from Nigeria.
Speaking on the ills plaguing Nigeria, he cited that the two major borders in the South-Western region are controlled by Fulani entities, keeping the Yoruba tribes marginalized.
He further declared that the border closure instituted by the Buhari-led administration is to create an artificial food shortage in the South-Western region, and he’ll be opening the borders.
“I will open all borders in the South-West tomorrow, so that rice, cars and other goods can enter. Yoruba land is no longer part of Nigeria,” the activist declared.

Speaking further, OYOGist.com gathered that Sunday Igboho urged all Yoruba people living in the North to return back home now.
Also speaking at the gathering, the President of the Yoruba World Congress, Prof Banji Akintoye said calling for restructuring is too late, and the Yoruba Nation is now an established entity.
“The game is up, we have seen enough of Nigeria today. Let us move forward and decide our fate. We’re going to have a Yoruba Nation soon,” Prof Banji Akintoye said.
While calling for peace, the leader of the YWC, Professor Banji Akintoye said there would no longer be a Nigeria soon.
