Oyogist.com has learnt that the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has hinted on embarking on another strike, after accusing the Nigerian Government of breaching a “NO VICTIMISATION CLAUSE” agreed upon during the negotiation which led to the suspension of the previous strike action.
The University of Ibadan ASUU chairman, Professor Ayo Akinwole alleged that the Federal Government in collaboration with the Accountant General of the Federation have withheld the “salaries of some of their lectures for two to 10 months despite suspending the strike”.
According to ASUU, this can led to another strike in future.
