On the 24th of February, the Nigerian Senate screened the new Economics and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Chairman, Abdulrasheed Bawa who was nominated by the President, OYOGist.com reports.
OYOGist.com recalls that Abdulrasheed Bawa’s nomination as the Chairman of the EFCC was confirmed by the Senate on the 25th of February, 2021.
Mr Bawa has captured the imagination of all Nigerians after he was nominated for the powerful position by President Muhammadu Buhari, not only for his stellar record but for being the youngest man to lead the powerful anti-graft agency.
New EFCC Chairman (Abdulrasheed Bawa) Experience:
Abdulrasheed Bawa, as of the year 2021 is a 40 year old criminal and fraud investigator.
Mr Bawa has headed the EFCC Ibadan Zonal office, the Lagos EFCC office (where he led a team of 604 staff and oversaw 10,000 operations with 200 convictions.
New EFCC Chairman (Abdulrasheed Bawa) Education:
Abdulrasheed Bawa acquired his Bachelor’s degree in Economics and a Master’s degree in International Affairs and Diplomacy from Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto.
Abdulrasheed Bawa is also a certified fraud examiner from the prestigious American-based Association of Certified Fraud Examiners
