OYOGist.com has learned that the Governor of Borno state, Babagana Zulum, called on the Federal Government to send the disbanded Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, personnels to Borno, to complement the military’s efforts in tackling Boko Haram.
When he received the Minister of the Interior, Rauf Aregebesola, who led a delegation to the state, Zulum made the call in Maiduguri in solidarity with the SARS activities in the state, this comes on the heels of a peaceful demonstration by some youths.
Governor Zulum said that SARS had accomplished impressive successes against Boko Haram in Borno state.
Aregbesola said that they were in the state to collect first-hand details on the security issues facing Borno and parts of the Northeast.
