The Peoples Democratic Party has revealed plans to build a database of store its members identity nationwide as it prepares to reposition itself ahead of the 2023 general elections.
The party’s National Organising Secretary, Col. Austin Akabundu, has told all state chairmen of the party to furnish his office with details of all members who have held public office since 1999 and are still members of the party till date.
This move was contained in a letter with reference number PDP/DOM/GF.2/VOL.14/ 20-187, titled “Request for Information,” which was signed by the national organizing secretary.
The letter reads in part;
“As part of our commitment and continuous effort to build a comprehensive Database of members, you are kindly requested to furnish the Directorate with the following details: A. Former State Governors and Deputy Governors (Still in our party), B. Former Members of NEC (Still in our party) C. Former Members of the BoT, (Still in our party), D. Principal Officers of State House of Assembly (Still in our party…”
