The US Government is set to ban Chinese apps WeChat and TikTok from app stores by Sunday if President Trump fails to be satisfied with agreement conditions, OYOGist.com has gathered.
The US Department of Commerce says a ban would be placed on both the micro-messaging app (WeChat) and the video sharing app (TikTok) that prevents US residents from downloading it from any app store.
The Trump-led US government has accused the Chinese apps of posing a security threat.
The government has ordered TikTok to find a US buyer before November 12 or risk being banned from operating in the country.
WeChat is set to be closed in the US on Sunday, while TikTok will remain until 12 November when it would be banned.
