OYOGist.com has learned that the Right Honourable Speaker for Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Mudashiru Obasa has reacted to the corruption allegation scandal made against him by Sahara Reporters.
Before now, the speaker has been accused of spending money lavishly by Sahara Reporters and that he do give his wife monthly salary out of Lagos State’s revenue. Aside this, the speaker has 64 different Bank Accounts linked to his Bank Verification Number.
Hon. Mudashiru Obasa reacting to the allegation made by Sahara Reporters in a live video with Bod Dee, has cleared the air concerning the allegation.

He said, “Ninalowo” I am very happy about this question. I was the chairman committee on rural development, and I thank God Doctor Kasali who was the commissioner as at then is still alive till today. I thank God Former Governor Babajide Fasola is still very much alive, Akhagboeze is till alive, these people I have just mentioned can not for once point an accusing finger to me that when I was a Commissioner, I embezzled public funds put in my care.”
He said, ” they didn’t say Obasa stole money, they said Obasa spent money. What’s the purpose of money, is it not to be spent ? But the question should be, how did you spend it? “Is there budgetary provision for the money you have expended?”
He said, “He didn’t use #258million to print invitation cards. That the total amount they spent on the inauguration ceremony was #61million”.
