See the key highlights of what Bamidele discussed with Niyi Oyedeji of Tribune on his goal to solve Nigeria’s food problem with his farming business below:

Bamidele Onibalusi is a freelance writer, digital marketer and entrepreneur. He is the CEO of Deloni Farms Ltd.

About Deloni Farms: Deloni Farms Ltd is a full-scale agricultural operation with a concentration on catfish farming.

Deloni Farms aims to solve the food shortage in Nigeria, and other African countries through agriculture.

Bamidele Onibalusi was motivated to go into agriculture after studying data on human birth and death rate. After realizing that there are more births than deaths, Bamidele realized that the demand for food may never be met. This motivated him to go into agribusiness.

While Deloni Farms was established in 2014, it currently employs 24 full-time staff.

Lack of regulation on the government’s side is currently the biggest challenge faced by catfish farmers. Bamidele wants the government to address this.

Bamidele advises young people that are currently dreaming of going into farming not to give up. Farming, though challenging, is a lucrative business.
