In his words;
Earlier today, I visited and inspected the Infectious Disease Centre at Olodo. During my visit, I met with health workers from the State Ministry of Health, the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control, the United Nations Children Emergency Fund and the World Health Organisation.
I thanked them for their contributions towards making the centre a reality, and for assisting in Oyo State’s fight against COVID-19. I also shared how I spent my days in isolation, reflecting on the policies and structures we are putting in place to combat COVID-19.
I used the opportunity to call for the support of the good people of Oyo State in our quest to ensure that no life is lost as we work to prevent, control and contain the spread of this pandemic. I called for vibrant ideas that will help us improve our response to this disease.
I, once again, thanked the people of Oyo State for their prayers and support, and encouraged all to keep practising social distancing and wash their hands regularly, following expert advice. I promised to keep providing regular updates as we continue to battle against COVID-19.
