On the 13th of February, less than 24-hours to the swearing-in ceremony of then Governor-elect of Bayelsa State, David Lyon – the man who would have tasted but not enjoy his election victory, was rehearsing his moves and hand-waving to the crowd while a 5-man jury decided his fate.
He was later sacked from the position of the Governor of Bayelsa State, not because of what he did wrong, but what his Deputy did.
The presiding judge, Mary Odili, annulled David Lyon’s election as the Governor of Bayelsa State because his deputy presented forged documents to INEC.
