The controversial Emirates Council Bill 2019 which was created by Governor Ganduje just got approval from the state’s House of Assembly. The bill seeks to create four more emirates in Kano State.
The bill was passed into law after passing the third reading on Thursday morning. The state Executive Council sent the bill to the House on Monday.
The state legislators barely made any amendments to the bill. A clause was added to seek their approval before grading the emirs first, second and third class rulers.
