Beijing, capital city is of China is currently battling the second wave of the Coronavirus in the province, OYOGist.com reports.
The new wave of the Coronavirus outbreak in Beijing has been described by authorities as “extremely severe” as movements are now curbed.
Beijing had reported no new locally transmitted cases for 56 consecutive days and had initially declared victory over the virus with its people going back to work. However, new cases started to come from Chinese nationals returning from abroad which has now become widespread in the capital.
Beijing is putting strict measures as; school closures, transport suspensions, including ride-sharing and taxi services in place to contain the virus. Also, government on Tuesday raised its COVID-19 emergency response level to II from III, according to state media.
