A 7.3 magnitude earthquake that shook several homes, malls and prefectures and took out the electricity for over 830,000 homes have hit Japan, OYOGist.com reports.
Tokyo Electric Power Co., also known as Tepco reported the power outage.
This earthquake hit off the Fukushima prefecture in northeastern Japan late Saturday night, with several reported injured.
“Woke up to shaking in Tokyo. Turned on TV to learn Magnitude 7.1 earthquake just hit off Fukushima prefecture – just 3 weeks ahead of the 10 year anniversary. Hope everyone is okay.” Bloomberg reporter Kurumi Mori tweeted on Saturday.
Rumi later tweeted that the earthquake had been upgraded to a Magnitude 7.3.
There are currently no threats of a Tsunami, experts have revealed. But there were tremors, shakings and jolts.
