According to reports reaching Oyogist.com, South Africa has Suspended the roll out of its Oxford-AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine over claims of “disappointing” results against the new Covid-19 variant in the country.
Over One and half million doses of the vaccine has so far been distributed to various healthcare workers across the country as health experts suggest the distribution of the vaccine to 100,000 older nurses as part of a new trial.
South Africa has so far recorded more than 1.5 million coronavirus cases and over 46,000 deaths.
