According to report reaching oyogist.com, a UK judge has on Monday ruled against the extradition of WikiLeaks founder, Julian Assange, to the United States over allegations bothered on the publishing of secret documents online.
Judge Vanessa Baraitser, noted that the extradition of Julian Asange, to the United States would be considered “oppressive by reason of mental harm and I order his discharge”.
She stated that the extradition and detention of Julian Asange, to the US, he “faces the bleak prospect of severely restrictive detention conditions designed to remove physical contact and reduce social interaction and contact with the outside world to a bare minimum”.
“He faces these prospects as someone with a diagnosis of clinical depression and persistent thoughts of suicide,” she said in her ruling.
She also expressed fear that there likely chances the Wikileaks founder commit suicide. “I am satisfied that the risk that Mr Assange will commit suicide is a substantial one.”
It should be noted that Mr. Julian Assange and his legal team have long argued that the protracted case which turned into a media popularity was politically motivated so as to bring Mr. Assange, down.
