The Oyo State Governor, Seyi Abiodun Makinde has laid his late mother, Chief (Mrs) Abigail Omojolagbe Amope Makinde (nee Omoregie), to rest in a ceremony on Thursday evening, OYOgist.com reports

Chief (Mrs) Abigail Omojolagbe Amope Makinde (nee Omoregie), died on 15th October, 2020 at 80 years.

Governor Makinde shared that the lying-in-state for his mother was held on Thursday evening, 3rd of December.

He wrote;

“This evening, we held the lying in state and service of songs for my mother, Chief (Mrs) Abigail Omojolagbe Amope Makinde (nee Omoregie). I feel privileged because I got to share nearly fifty-three years of my life with her, and I’ll treasure the beautiful memories I have of her.”

He further thanked people who came from far and near to be present for the funeral:
