According to reports reaching Oyogist.com, Major Leaders in Ethiopia has warned residents in Tigray region of an impending danger if they don’t flee the area.
Recall earlier the Prime Minister had given rebels in the region a 72-hour ultimatum to stop all Operations, but all fell on deaf ears as the ultimatum is nearly elapsing.
Ethiopian Senior official, Redwan Hussein, revealed that the Tigray regional leaders are “hiding out in a densely populated city; the slightest strike would end up losing lives” and “anything can happen” if civilians do not flee.
” Mekele, a city of around 500,000 people, was now encircled at a distance of about 50 kilometres (30 miles), and with rougher terrain left behind and vast plain land, easier for tanks.” Hussein said.
He added, “By providing a brute fact, it is letting people to understand the reality and make the right choice.”
