According to Reports reaching oyogist.com, Nigeria has finally reserved a spot on the list of most dangerous African countries for children, a report by Save the Children International shows.
As seen in the report, oyogist.com noticed that a total of 93,326 children have lost their lives in a period of 10 years, as Nigeria falls in the bottom 10.Other countries include Somalia, South Sudan, Mali, Chad, Central African Republic, Niger, Burkina Faso, Guinea, and Madagascar.
Save the Children International’s CEO, Inger Ashing, in a statement, disclosed that this year, 180 million children lived in volatile areas, an increase from the 2018 report.
She said, “Around 160 million children lived in a high-intensity conflict zone, also an increase compared to 2018.“Behind the stark numbers are countless stories of the child victims of war. Many are casualties of people blatantly disregarding international laws and standards, and governments turning a blind eye.” she Concluded.
