Google has brought in its noise cancellation feature for it’s Google Meet App.
The new noise cancellation feature would automatically filter out background noise from your phone audio input, while your voice still remains the same.
Google said in a blog post that the AI-powered noise cancellation feature on Google Meet has begun testing in Android and iOS platforms and will be available in all regions soon.
The noise cancellation feature would filter out background distractions such as dogs barking, pen-clicking, typing, closing a door, or sounds from a nearby construction site and many others.
The feature will not be available to G Suite Basic, G Suite Business, G Suite for Education, and G Suite for Nonprofits customers.Noise cancellation is off by default on GoogleMeet, and has to be manually turned on before or during a video call.
To use the feature on Android and iOS, click on More, select Settings, and tap on Noise cancellation.
