Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State paid a condolence visit to the family of Tiyamu Kazeem who was killed by SARS after falsely accusing him of being a Yahoo boy in Sagamu, Ogun State.
The residents of Sagamu held a peaceful protest yesterday, 24th of February, following the murder of Kazeem, aka Kaka, a football player for Remo Stars FC on Saturday by SARS.
The protest turned bloody and violent after the Police retaliated by shooting into a crowd of defenseless and unarmed protesters, killing several others.
Dapo Abiodun, the State Governor, has called for peace warning that the full weight of the law would be brought on anyone caught trying to use the unfortunate incident as a vehicle for promoting violence in the state.
The governor, while at the family’s on a condolence visit expressed his regret over the death of Kaka, calling it a loss of “a man of unexplored talents.”
The Governor also used the opportunity to call for the reform of the police force, saying “this long-awaited, significant reform within the structures of the Nigerian Police assures us of an end to such anomalies.”

From there the Governor proceeded to the Palace of Akarigbo of Remoland to thank the king for his timely intervention in quelling the violence that ensued following Tiyamu Kazeem’s murder by men of the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS).
