It appears that the Twitter account of singer Azeez Fashola, known professionally as Naira Marley, has just been hacked by a yet-to-be-known group.
While some users have observed a form of Twitter silence from the Mafo crooner, a quick glance at his official Twitter account says it all. Not only has his name been changed, everything that identifies the account as his has been replaced with entirely different content.
The hacker who hacked Naira Marley seems to be a Turkish hacker or group. This is judging from the statement in the singer’s Twitter bio that reads: “Ortam sanal olsa da işlenen suç gerçektir.”
This translates to “Although the environment is virtual, the crime committed is real,” in English.
It is yet to be determined if this is a statement to Naira Marley or the signature of the hacker.
Although the geolocation of the account has been set to Denmark, this cannot be used as a determining factor in identifying the hacker. The least professional hacker knows not to use their real location in the bio of their victim.
