According to confirmations from United States officials, Iran has just launched multiple missiles at Iraq, targeting America military base in the country.
This attack is coming just days after the United States carried out an attack on Iran that the US President Donald Trump says was targeted at General Qasem Soleimani, killing the Quds leader.
“This morning, courageous fighters of the IRGC’s Air Force launched a successful operation called Operation Martyr Soleimani, with the code ‘Oh Zahra’ by firing tens of ground-to-ground missiles at the base of the terrorist and invasive U.S forces named Ain Al Asad,” ISNA, Iranian state-run news media reported.
According to ABC News, a U.S official has confirmed that the ballistic missiles have were fired from within Iran and were targeted at several U.S military facilities inside Iraq on Wednesday morning (Iran time).
Erbil, a northern Iraq and Al Ai Asad Air Base in western Iraq were confirmed to be the targets.
