A man, Joseph, has gone on Twitter to narrate an ordeal that involved his mother. The woman, his mother, was on her way back home from the General Hospital Randle.

She had gone to the clinic for a regular check-up, when she decided to take a tricycle, also known as Keke, back home. It was on her way back home that the tricycle she was in together with another passenger, was hit by a vehicle that sped off the scene.

Thanks to a group of good samaritans, she and the other passenger were rescued after they were allegedly left on the roadside by both the driver of the car and the tricycle rider with their injuries. They were taken back to the General Hospital Randle where she had gone for a check-up initially.

“We received calls from a group of “samaritans” who noticed that she was abandoned alongside another passenger and rushed them to the same General Hospital at Randle where she just left,” Joseph said.

“The hospital, as usual, did not attempt to treat her until I arrived. After a few stitches, drugs and plasters, she was asked to leave so we sent her to a private hospital after performing a CT scan and X-ray at another diagnostic centre. This is sad for our country!” said Joseph.

The other passenger was said to be unable to identify himself and has been referred to Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH).
