Ismaila Mustapha, also known as Mompha, who was recently released after spending 40 days in the detention of EFCC has cried out that he has never met the Lebanese guy he was accused of dealing with, Hamza.
Recall that the Economics and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had arrested Hamza Koudeih at Eko Atlantic City apartment reportedly worth $1.3million or four hundred sixty-eight million Naira.
The EFCC accused Hamza Koudeih of heading a fraud cartel that specializes in money laundering for the likes of Mompha. The EFCC alleged that “Hamza had laundered” money from Nigeria to the tune of $19million.
Mompha claims on Instagram that the time he and Hamza met at the EFCC custody was the first time they’d be meeting one another before.
“First I need to clear the air on something.” Mompha shared on Instagram.
“I met Hamza the Lebanese guy on October 24th, 2019 at EFCC office for the first time in my life”
Since regaining his freedom, Mompha has been making frantic efforts to clean his reputation by telling everyone he was not guilty of any of the charges brought against him by the EFCC.
