It seems like there is more trouble for the R&B soul singer, R Kelly. The musician has been in and out of court since the 2019 documentary based on his abuse and sexual enslavement of several minors titled “Surviving R.Kelly” came out.
On top of that, the star now has another charge on his file. Back in 1994 when he wanted to marry Aaliyah, who was still a minor at just 15, R. Kelly had to procure a fake ID for Aaliyah to enable him to marry her.
According to documents obtained by the online gossip site, TMZ, prosecutors said R. Kelly and his team paid a public officer to create “a fraudulent identification document for Jane Doe #1.” This was in 1994. According to the prosecutors, this act establishes bribery, which is now being added to the number of racketeering charges against him.
Steven Greenberg, R Kelly’s attorney told TMZ that they will look into the indictment, “but does not materially alter the landscape.”
