Oyogist has learned that US President, Joe Biden will award the Medal of Honor to Sgt Alwyn C. Cashe, Sgt Christopher A. Celiz and Sgt Earl D. Plumlee on December 16.
All three members of the U.S. army are being rewarded for conspicuous gallantry.
Cashe had emerged as the first Black U.S. service member to receive the Medal of Honor for actions in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Cashe is receiving posthumous recognition after suffering mortal injuries in Iraq while rescuing fellow soldiers from a burning vehicle in 2005.

Biden praised late Cashe for his ‘indisputable gallantry’ as he struggled to save his comrades from a burning vehicle.
‘It’s hard to explain,’ Biden said, as he spoke of Cashe’s heroism before a military aide read the official citation.
