UK military receives request to send medics to Northern Ireland

Oyogist has learned that the uk’s Ministry of Defence has received a request to Disburse medics to over 100 armed forces members in Northern Ireland.

The UK said it would support two hospitals in need of help to deal with the number of coronavirus patients.

The requirement is understood to be for 80 to 100 military medics to support Belfast City Hospital and Ulster Hospital in Dundonald from 1 to 31 October.

“We have received a request for MACA (Military Aid to the Civilian Authorities),” a defence source said. “It is being looked at.”
