According to report reaching oyogist.com, the ECOWAS Parliament has reportedly declared its readiness in supporting its member states in implementing E-Learning.
This was made known by the ECOWAS Parliament Speaker, Sidie Tunis during a delocalised Joint Committee meeting which includes the Educational Committee, Science & Technology/Telecommunication and Information Technology/Political Affairs, Peace, Security, and Infrastructure.
Mr. Tunis stated that the switching to E-Learning would aid the educational system in West Africa as well as making education accessible to all.
Mr. Tunis also made it known that the organization is likely to face so many challenges on it commitment; “We are likely to face many challenges in implementing the commitments we have made at this meeting.
Mr. Tunis reiterated his commitment to building a stronger ECOWAS Parliament through the support and cooperation of the West African member states.
“I wish to further reiterate my commitment towards building a stronger ECOWAS Parliament than what I met. I expect to achieve this feat with the cooperation of all Members and other stakeholders, ” Tunis said.
