According to report reaching oyogist.com, the Director, Public Affairs of the Ministry of Health, Tunbosun Ogunbanwo, in a press conference has stated that it might be possible for there to be a reoccurrence of a lockdown if there are signs of the recovery of the covid-19 virus.

According to him it has been shown that Nigerians have shown a blatant disregard for several security measures which have been in place to combat the virus. He stated that not only in Nigeria, but other countries as well are actually pondering on creating a second lock down.

He voiced that he hopes to discourage Nigerians from having the false impression that Nigeria had conquered corona virus, it only creates a false illusion of security which in his opinion did not exist.

He concluded that the that the reason for the decline in the number of covid-19 positive cases in the country especially Lagos is as a result of the adherence to the various policies and precautions put in place and that as citizens we should not in any way violate these precautions, as the virus is still out there and it still and it still spreading.

“And so it is still very much necessary to wear your face masks, use your hand sanitizer and keep social distancing in all our activities in order to make sure for good that is virus leaves,” he said.
