Sadiya Farouq, Nigeria’s Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, has denied saying Igbos will not get coronavirus support because they are Biafrans.
Ministry had since on Wednesday begun sharing the sum of N20k to poorest Nigerians as a palliative to coronavirus lockdown order from the federal government.
There were however online reports that the minister had vowed not to give coronavirus support provided by the federal government to Igbos because they are Biafrans. The minister has since denied, dismissing it as the handiwork of mischief-makers.
