Recall that the Governor led PDP party members in a rally in Ibadan following the revelation that the Ekiti Covid-19 patient spent two weeks in Ibadan, causing fear and anger to spread among the people.

Speaking on the PDP rally that was held in the state capital, Governor Seyi Makinde expressed his regret over the decision to hold the rally declaring that, “it should not have happened and I take responsibility for that lapse in judgment.”

Seyi Makinde urged residents of the state to maintain proper hygiene by frequently washing their hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or by using a 90% alcohol-based sanitizer as a means to combat the Covid-19 pandemic.
