The hope for students looms as the meeting between the Academic Staff Union of Universities and Federal Government on Wednesday ended un-resolved following the disagreement over the payment platform to be used by the Federal Government of Nigeria to disburse the salary arrears and the earned allowance of University Lecturers, oyogist.com reports.
The Federal Government team as led by Chris Ngige the Minister of Labour and Employment reportedly told them that the salary arrears and the earned allowance of 30 billion will be paid through the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information system platform pending when the Academic Staff Union of Universities University Transparency and Accountability solution will be adopted as the payment platform.
